It is hard to remember to prevent water damage to your home, especially if you have never had a flooding disaster. For the upcoming season, be sure to do the following;
1. Check your sump pump and battery backup.
2. Make sure all water will flow from your home.
- Does landscaping flow away from home
- Are all the water spouts connected properly to gutter
- Are the Water spouts pointing and draining away from home
- check your automatic irrigation times, an AM or PM mishap could = 12 hrs of flooding.
3. Most important check with your home insurance agency to make sure you are covered.
